Earth Rangers is an environmental non-profit that empowers youth to take action for the environment. Our ER Teens program offers an opportunity for young Canadians aged 13-18 to take initiative for environmental causes they care about, such as wildlife conservation, climate change, sustainability, and more. By working remotely with staff, teens volunteer their time to complete an eco-action project of their choice; at home, at school, in their community, or online. Our flexible program ensures that teens can work at their own pace, while having the support and resources they need to make a positive impact.

At AMAL Unite & Empower, we believe diversity drives success. Skilled newcomers bring innovation, fresh perspectives, and valuable expertise that strengthen our economy and enrich our communities. We empower newcomers by helping them integrate into the community, build meaningful connections in Newfoundland and Labrador, and access the tools, resources, and support they need to succeed. What began as TaskforceNL during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a vital support network, thanks to the generous support of the Northpine Foundation and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Immigration, Population Growth & Skills. With this support, we have expanded our reach, empowering employers with the guidance and resources to attract, hire, and retain skilled talent—creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. Our Mission To create a diverse, inclusive, and thriving workforce in Newfoundland and Labrador by providing free, tailored support services to: - newcomers - employers and recruiters - facilitating seamless integration into the local workforce.

Newfoundland Helping Hands: Empowering Communities Through Compassion. Newfoundland Helping Hands is a community-focused charity dedicated to bridging the gap between those in need and those willing to help. Our mission is simple: to empower individuals facing hardships by providing them with the essential items they require to overcome challenges, restore dignity, and improve their quality of life. Our innovative approach allows people who want to make a difference to contribute directly to fulfilling specific needs. We work closely with individuals who require assistance, guiding them through a process where they submit detailed invoices for essential items. This ensures transparency, accountability, and a targeted impact. Once approved, the funds are used by our dedicated team to purchase these items, guaranteeing that every donation makes a meaningful difference. With the support of caring donors, Newfoundland Helping Hands aims to become a beacon of hope, providing practical solutions and uplifting our community one family at a time. Together, we can transform lives, create lasting change, and build a stronger, more compassionate Newfoundland.  

ClimaFacts Atlantic is committed to enhancing public knowledge on environmental climate change issues among Atlantic Canadians by providing an accessible resource about scientific climate research, promoting informed discussions and positive change.

Disasters now endanger more Canadians and cause more devastation than ever before. Whenever they do, the Canadian Red Cross is prepared to help and ready to respond. As a volunteer in this role, you will: - Work with a small team of trained responders, you will support clients affected by smaller disaster events such as house fires; - This support will include assessing their short-term needs, providing access to immediate services such as shelter, food, clothing; - Your compassion and caring for those affected will help them focus on the next steps and recovery; - When not responding, you will help your team remain prepared and may get involved with community disaster preparedness initiatives that reduce the impact of disasters in your community; and - You are willing to assist people in need in your community and you are able to take periodic on-call shifts. You bring these essential talents: - Compassion and empathy; - Strong verbal communication and client relations skills; - Ability to work independently and to collaborate in a team environment; and - Contributes to a healthy and safe working environment. All necessary training is provided.

At Volunteer NL, we take pride in linking people with local nonprofit community organizations, supporting persons with disabilities, new Canadians, corporations and professionals connect to organizations in and around the province, helping individuals develop skills to advance their careers, and developing knowledge resources that support effective and efficient volunteer capacity.

Rainbow Riders Therapeutic Riding Centre and its programs continue to help Newfoundland and Labrador children and adults with physical, developmental and mental health needs reach their full potential.

MS Canada provides services to people with multiple sclerosis and their families and funds research to find the cause and cure for this disease. We have a membership of over 7,000 and are the only national voluntary organization in Canada that supports both MS research and services. Since our founding in 1948, the core support of MS Canada has been from tens of thousands of dedicated individuals, companies and foundations in communities across Canada. MS Canada receives almost no funding from government. MS Canada is governed by a board of directors comprised of 14 volunteer members who are elected annually. Some 1,500 volunteers serve on MS Canada national, division and chapter boards and committees. An estimated 13,500 women and men are volunteers for service programs, fundraising events, public awareness campaigns and social action activities.

Girl Guides of Canada–Guides du Canada (GGC), a national membership-based organization, empowers every girl in Guiding to discover herself and be everything she wants to be.  Guiding provides a safe, all-girl environment that invites girls to challenge themselves, to find their voice, meet new friends, have fun and make a difference in the world. GGC strives to ensure that girls and women from all walks of life, identities and lived experiences feel a sense of belonging and can fully participate.
