Earth Rangers is an environmental non-profit that empowers youth to take action for the environment. Our ER Teens program offers an opportunity for young Canadians aged 13-18 to take initiative for environmental causes they care about, such as wildlife conservation, climate change, sustainability, and more. By working remotely with staff, teens volunteer their time to complete an eco-action project of their choice; at home, at school, in their community, or online. Our flexible program ensures that teens can work at their own pace, while having the support and resources they need to make a positive impact.

What began as TaskforceNL during the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a vital support network, thanks to the generous support of the Northpine Foundation and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s Department of Immigration, Population Growth & Skills. With this support, we have expanded our reach, empowering employers with the guidance and resources to attract, hire, and retain skilled talent—creating opportunities for everyone to thrive. Our Mission To create a diverse, inclusive, and thriving workforce in Newfoundland and Labrador by providing free, tailored support services to: - newcomers - employers and recruiters - facilitating seamless integration into the local workforce.

Newfoundland Helping Hands: Empowering Communities Through Compassion. Newfoundland Helping Hands is a community-focused charity dedicated to bridging the gap between those in need and those willing to help. Our mission is simple: to empower individuals facing hardships by providing them with the essential items they require to overcome challenges, restore dignity, and improve their quality of life. Our innovative approach allows people who want to make a difference to contribute directly to fulfilling specific needs. We work closely with individuals who require assistance, guiding them through a process where they submit detailed invoices for essential items. This ensures transparency, accountability, and a targeted impact. Once approved, the funds are used by our dedicated team to purchase these items, guaranteeing that every donation makes a meaningful difference. With the support of caring donors, Newfoundland Helping Hands aims to become a beacon of hope, providing practical solutions and uplifting our community one family at a time. Together, we can transform lives, create lasting change, and build a stronger, more compassionate Newfoundland.  

ClimaFacts Atlantic is committed to enhancing public knowledge on environmental climate change issues among Atlantic Canadians by providing an accessible resource about scientific climate research, promoting informed discussions and positive change.

Disasters now endanger more Canadians and cause more devastation than ever before. Whenever they do, the Canadian Red Cross is prepared to help and ready to respond. As a volunteer in this role, you will: - Work with a small team of trained responders, you will support clients affected by smaller disaster events such as house fires; - This support will include assessing their short-term needs, providing access to immediate services such as shelter, food, clothing; - Your compassion and caring for those affected will help them focus on the next steps and recovery; - When not responding, you will help your team remain prepared and may get involved with community disaster preparedness initiatives that reduce the impact of disasters in your community; and - You are willing to assist people in need in your community and you are able to take periodic on-call shifts. You bring these essential talents: - Compassion and empathy; - Strong verbal communication and client relations skills; - Ability to work independently and to collaborate in a team environment; and - Contributes to a healthy and safe working environment. All necessary training is provided.

Rainbow Riders Therapeutic Riding Centre and its programs continue to help Newfoundland and Labrador children and adults with physical, developmental and mental health needs reach their full potential.

Breast Cancer Canada is a national charity dedicated to saving lives through breast cancer research. With a focus on precision oncology (personalized care), it is the only national breast cancer organization in Canada that has a clear mandate to raise money for research and advocate and educate on the progress of new research evidence. Everyday, researchers are working hard to advance our understanding of this disease. To detect it earlier and treat it better. We know research will deliver results. And with your support to raise more funds, a future with no more breast cancer is possible.

A committee elected by the residents of the community of Rushoon to operate and fundraise for the new community center within the community,  The community center was previously the RC parish hall but was purchased by the community via the Town of Rushoon Council.  It was initially built in the community as a high school in 1964 using some wood from the base in Argentia.  The community kept the building going under the parish of Christ the King until it went up for sale to pay for the actions of the RC archdiocese. This building has been used not only as a school, but church, concert venue, wedding venue, school graduation ceremony and funerals.  To this day the then "hall" now community center continues to be an inportant part of life in this small southern Newfoundland Community.

NL Audio Guide is a community-driven initiative dedicated to making Newfoundland and Labrador’s history, culture, and natural beauty more accessible and engaging for everyone. We produce high-quality, multilingual audio tours that bring local stories to life—designed for tourists, newcomers, and residents alike who want to explore the province in a deeper, more personal way. Our mission is to create an easy-to-use platform where anyone can walk through iconic places like Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi, or the streets of Bonavista and hear captivating stories told by local voices. From historical facts to folklore, from indigenous heritage to immigrant journeys, each guide is carefully researched and recorded to ensure authenticity and accessibility. We work with local researchers, translators, audio artists, and volunteers to create and distribute these guides digitally through our website and mobile app. Our project is grassroots in spirit but growing with strong potential to impact tourism, education, and community engagement across the province. By connecting people through storytelling, NL Audio Guide is not just a tourism tool—it’s a platform for cultural preservation, inclusive exploration, and community pride.

The CWGC is a global organization, caring for war graves at 23,000 locations in more than 150 countries and territories. We commemorate almost 1.7 million individuals, ensuring that all the Commonwealth men and women who died during both world wars are commemorated in a manner befitting their sacrifice. In Canada, we have launched a National Volunteer Program and we are currently recruiting in Newfoundland & Labrador. The program enables those with an interest in our work to act as our eyes in their local area. Volunteers will visit their local cemeteries and gather information about the condition of CWGC war graves. Training will be provided on all aspects of the work required including how to safely clean war graves. Volunteers will play a vital role in helping us to achieve our mandate to maintain CWGC war graves in perpetuity. Your help will make a real difference to our work commemorating the service men and women who died during the First and Second World Wars and are buried in Newfoundland & Labrador. With your help we hope to keep alive the stories of the men and women whom we commemorate. Please note: For this volunteer position, you will need to have a smartphone with data and access to a vehicle.
